Note 1: masked by Southern Iran on the same frequency now.
Note 2: this carrier is so stable, and easy to ID, that it may safely be
used as a frequency reference.
Note 3: This TX was reported by the local ham as being on 48.248.8 MHz!
Note 4: I had previously Ided this a Vannas Sweden. Kenya is now
virtually co-channel with Switzerland,
Note 5 From antenna directions appears to more Central Med area.
Note 6 According to the resident ham in Equatorial Guinea, the carrier
is on 48.250.400 MHz. However, my opservations indicate that this is
almost certainly not the case, and that the + 50 Hz component, resulting
from a power supply problem with the transmitter, was measured in error.
The other "carriers" are plus and minus 50 Hz harmonics of the
fundamental carrier. Equat Guinea switches on at 14.30z and the beam
favours the southern hemisphere according to the source. The carrier has
a strong audio growl when heard in SSB mode, resulting from all the
power supply hum and noise.
Note 8: Third TX at 8P in Iran. Single case reception during enhanced F2
conditions.
Note 9: This TX jumps randomly in frequency.
